Week 7 Winners & Losers

With week 6 of the NFL season concluding here are a couple names who dominated and a couple to fell flat.


Saints’ Defense: The Saints played the Lions on Sunday and won 52-38. The Saints’ defense managed to haul in 3 touchdowns as well has scoring 32 fantasy points. The defense was able to recover 2 fumbles as well as 3 interceptions. The defensive line was able to apply pressure as they sacked Stafford 5 times as well as deflecting 16 passes. 

Le’Veon Bell: the Steelers played the Chiefs on Sunday and won 19-13. Bell has been tearing it up this season through the first 6 weeks of the NFL season he has posted fantasy point totals of 94.6 in non-PPR- and 124.6 in PPR leagues. Bell has been able to ignite the offense behind poor quarterback play. On Sunday he posted 28.1 PPR points which is the fourth consecutive game with an outstanding performance. 

Adrian Peterson: The Cardinals played the Buccaneers Sunday and won 38-33. Adrian Peterson posted 25.4 fantasy points after switching teams halfway through the season. He seems to be the feature back for the Cardinals as he had 26 rushing attempts which is the most since week 12 of 2015 when he rushed 29 times. Peterson ran the ball for 134 yards and 2 scores in his debut. 

Orleans Darkwa: The Giants faced the Broncos on Sunday and received their first win beating the Broncos 23-10. Darkwa posted back to back games on 14 games as he scored 14 against the Chargers and 14.2 against the Broncos. Darkwa had 21 rushing attempts for 117 yards as well has a reception for 13 yards. 

Michael Thomas: The Saints played the Lions on Sunday and won 52-38. Michael Thomas had to deal with Lions cornerback Darius Slay and was held to 3 receptions for 11 yards. Thomas posted 4.1 in PPR leagues and 1.1 in non-PPR leagues which is the second worst performance of his 20-game career since Week 10 of the 2016 season. 

Kevin Hogan: The Cleveland Browns went up against the Houston Texans on Sunday and lost 33-17. On Sunday Kevin Hogan went 20-37 for 140 yards as well as throwing 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. After posting 16.8 points in week 5 against the Jets he posted a mere 7.2 points against the Texans.

Brian Hoyer: The 49ers went up against the Washington Redskins on Sunday and lost 24-26. Hoyer was booted in the 2nd quarter after going 4-11 passing with 34 yards. He posted 1.4 fantasy points and after rookie QB Beathard stepped in and lead the 49ers to score on 4 of his 7 drives, expect many to drop Hoyer.
